Founded with a vision to transform Uganda's agricultural landscape through climate resilience and community empowerment.
The leadership driving Lima-Plus’ mission to build climate resilience for smallholder farmers
Geoffrey Kanyarwanda grew up in rural Uganda, witnessing firsthand the challenges that smallholder farmers face in an increasingly unpredictable climate. His grandmother, a small-scale farmer, struggled to maintain consistent yields as weather patterns became more erratic, shaping Geoffrey’s passion for climate resilience.
“I saw how climate change was not just an environmental issue, but a human one,” Geoffrey reflects. “It was affecting the very people who feed our nation.”
With a strong background in microfinance, rural farmer engagement, and financial inclusion, Geoffrey co-founded Lima-Plus to bridge the gap between climate resilience and accessible digital tools for smallholder farmers.
Lima-Plus equips farmers with climate intelligence, adaptive agronomy guidance, and climate-smart market connections to help them thrive despite increasing climate risks.
